Soul Collage
Mondays, March 16, 23, and 30. To register email: revkate@uumh.org
Come collage with us! You don't have to be an artist!
Originally developed by Seena Frost, the idea of SoulCollage is that each card, created through cutting and pasting a collage of magazine images, is a mirror of the self and soul. Explore different parts of yourself through this creative process and get to know others on a deeper level.
Leave your inner critic at home!
Led by Rev. Kate Wilkinson
Visible Mending
Extended! Now also Monday March 16. Mondays, March 2 and 9, 10am-12 noon. To register email: revkate@uumh.org
Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of visible mending. This workshop is open to all sewing skill levels and no prior experience is needed. We'll learn and practice techniques such as patching, darning, and decorative reinforcement.
Along the way, we'll approach mending as a mindfulness practice, slowing down to care for our belongings, reduce waste, and honor the stories held in our garments.
Participants are encouraged to bring an item in need of repair.Additional fabrics, threads, and supplies will be provided.
