Greetings Friends,
Come join us for a morning of Forest Bathing at Beech Forest in Provincetown!
Saturday, June 1st, 9 to 10:30 AM.
Forest bathing, also known in Japan as shinrin yoku, is the practice of immersing oneself in nature and taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. It is a stress-reduction technique that has been proven to have many health benefits, including reducing anxiety, helping with sleep and inflammation.
We will walk silently through the woods, no cell phones, no cameras. It is an invitation to slow down, open your senses and take in the natural world. We will stop twice for readings and contemplation.
We off this free of charge through the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown.
The beech Forest walking trail is part of the National Seashore Park. It is an approximately 1 mile long loop.
Please arrive a few minutes before 9 in the parking lot at Beech Forest, 36 Race Point Road, we will gather for a brief introduction and then walk the loop.
Loking forward to it!
Jen Shannon, Bill Docker and Kristen Shantz
