Greetings Friends,
Please join us on Saturday, September 24th, at 9 AM for a "Forest Bathing” walk at Beech Forest in Provincetown. (weather permitting, rain date is October 1st).
Hint, this does not involve a bathtub in the woods!
It will be a meditative walk in nature. We will gather in the parking lot at Beech Forest starting at 8:45. The walk is done in silence and will include 2 stops for poetry and contemplation.
Forest Bathing started in Japan 40 years ago as a way to relax and renew the body, mind and spirit. It is now practiced all over the world. Research has shown that taking time in the woods to appreciate nature can reduce stress, improve mood and improve sleep. It takes around an hour.
This is a free offering from the Monday Night Meditation group of the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown.
We hope you will join us.
Jen Shannon, Bill Docker and Kristen Shantz
